Celebrating the 12th Successful Edition of TIIKM’s ICFA Conference

TIIKM proudly celebrates the successful 12th edition of the International Conference on Fisheries and Aquaculture (ICFA 2025), held in Nha Trang, Vietnam. Centered on the theme “Applying Food System Approach: Towards Harnessing the Full Potential of Fisheries and Aquaculture,” the event brought together global experts to promote sustainability, innovation, and collaboration in the fisheries and aquaculture sectors.

From Right to Reality: How the Conference Addresses Global Progress and Challenges

While many countries have made commitments to gender equality and sexual rights, the gap between what is promised and what is practiced continues to persist. Legal frameworks and policy declarations often exist, but for millions around the world, the actual experience of these rights remains out of reach. Tourism And Sri Lanka

Sri Lankan tourism was a blooming industry with 1.9 million tourist arrivals in 2019 and with that growing nature, the government forecasted to reach 4 million of tourist arrivals by year 2020. Due the COVID 19 crisis the industry collapsed resulting to 507,704 arrivals recorded till March 2020 (SLTDA, n.d). Many countries imposed travel restrictions and lockdown within the country to contain the virus.
